Glow issues
Hi all, some advice needed regarding the glow plug system. Had some issues with cold start so decided to change the module and all 6 glow plugs with Beru as per the advice on this forum. Glow plug module purchased from Autodoc Ridex unit part number 699C0003.
Car when cold will cycle through a full start sequence without starting. Second turn of the key it fires up almost straight away and kicks out loads of white smoke.
Power to the module is present, switched 12v to module is active on ignition.
Checked resistance on pins for glow plugs and they are all fried. So I am guessing the module has fried them so I checked the module output at the glow plug and when the ignition is first turned to position 2 with cold engine voltage output is 12.3v for 1 to 2 seconds and then drops to 2.8v constant.
I don't want to replace the plugs again only for them to be fried once more, has anyone got a part number / supplier of the correct module and plugs or any advice or how to proceed, many thanks all
