Navigation ISSUE (2006 E320 CDI)
I been over at other forums, but cannot find a solution to an odd problem with the navigation on one of my 2006 E320 CDI!
The navigation will work perfectly when I first start the car, usually in the mornings. After I cut off the car, the navigation "messes" up! The pointer on the map will not move (and is frozen) even though I have up to 10 satellites showing with the coordinates changing constantly! When I enter a new address, it will usually say "off road" even though I am on a major interstate! Other times, it will "appear" to take the new entry, but is frozen on the last street enter and will not update!
I have tried 3 known good changers, new GPS antennas, and 3 navigation disks with no joy! Again, the navigstion works perfectly when I first start the car the day! I am thinking there is another problem besides the changer, antenna and the navigation disks!
Any help EXTREMELY appreciated!

Found the problem (frozen navigation screen)! Ironically, it was the "Central Gateway Module" below the steering wheel (attached to the drop down panel)! I cannot explain why the CGM had anything to do with the navigation! This afternoon, the navigation was frozen again! After replacing the CGM, the navigation began to work perfectly! Also interesting, I had no oil amount on the instrument cluster until the CGM was replaced. It is now working as well.
Hope this will help someone with this ODD problem I was having!
