no life when inserting key
I’ve got a 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class W211 220 CDI. It won’t start at all. When I put the key in, it doesn’t turn, and there’s no life in the steering wheel or the dash. The steering wheel isn’t locked, but the central locking system, including the remote lock/unlock and the remote boot open buttons, don’t work either. The radio and lights still work fine, though.
For the past few weeks, the key has been working on and off. Sometimes only the boot remote unlock works, sometimes nothing, and sometimes everything on the key works.
Has anyone seen something like this or have any ideas on what might be happening? Any help would be awesome! Thanks!
