Default Elegance Wheels Hard to Clean

Anyone else noticed the default Elegance wheels rather difficult to keep clean? I mean, when they nice and shiny, they're quite OK to look at, but with 13 small little holes and spikes around them, I'm finding them difficult to maintain...

What might be a good and not too expensive option? Currently, my E is on the default 225/55/R16 Elegance.

Thinking of going up modestly to 17" as I don't intend to change the shock and springs, and would not like too harsh a ride.

I heard Brabus tends to be heavier. Is that true? Suggestions? Thanks.

I use three different brushes to clean the wheels & tires. This one is the best for getting in small places and deep cleaning:

The easiest way for regular cleaning is to buy a small steam cleaner..... It'll easily get between each hole, saves you scrubbing with a brush. The steam will actually loosen the brake dust and all you have to do is rinse and dry....

CAUTION, I don't know if this is the safest method, could the steam actually damage the wheel coating?

The steam could eventually wear the clear coating thin and then totally out. As long as you don't go really close to it and keep it on there it should be relatively safe. The best thing I could suggest is to wax th wheel after you steam it. If there is a good coat of protective wax on it, the clear coat will not get the brunt of the steam.

I use the high pressure water with soap from about 1 foot away and everything comes right off. I then go with a rag and ge the rest. You should not that I clean them about once every 10 days so they are never very dirty to start with.

Thanks for the tips. Hmm, may try it out first and see if I can bear with it. Otherwise, may consider trading for 17" Avantgarde rims... I wonder how much would that be, tyres + Avantgarde rims?
