There might have been a back-up camera. That connector looks a lot like the ones they have.

 

hmm i dont think it's a parktronic sensor as you will have multiple sensors across the span of the bumper.
i do recall seeing some kind of box mounted on the inside of the bumper closer to the US driver's side on my wagon. i suspect it's the keyless go antenna. is your car equipped with keyless go?

 

Wife took it to the dealer yesterday and they said it was something related to the spare tire and not worry about it. Didn't get more detail from her.
