Distronic Retrofit 2004 W211
Hi Everyone,
Following installation of all components of the distronic system, I cannot seem to get the system to work. Heres what I have done so far.
1. Installed Radar and Computer combined unit to the front of the car.
2. Wired power and CAN line to the Front SAM and CAN block under the driver seat side. Ground to grounding point under driver headlight.
3. Installed Distronic Switch to shifter trim
4. Coded CGW to enable Distronic with DAS
After I code the distronic, I can read from the distronic computer and pull the version and part number. But ESP computer has errors regarding CAN communication to Engine and also Distronic.
It seems others from searching the site have just coded CGW with distronic has gotten it to work. So I am not sure what is wrong. Could it be ESP computer version needs updating?
To make sure I have not burned anything, I coded out Distronic from CGW and all is normal again except now I get a cruise control error. I suspect this is due to the Distronic computer being installed into the CAN network without being recognized.
Any help on this topic is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Often, optional modules require recoding in multiple places. Was Distronic offered originally on 2004 E-classes? Your best course is to contact @BenzNinja .

Hopefully Benzninja or anyone else responds. I have a Merc Clone C4 with Vediamo and other programs so I hope this can be done by myself or over the internet with someone.
