Service B in 26 days
I am getting a service message that says “Service B in 26 days”. What does this indicate?
I went in to the service message thing and only managed to reset the mileage counter from my last oil change. Nevertheless it still has the day to service indicator message.
I’m guessing it is for brake fluid flush or something else that is time dependent rather than mileage dependent but I can’t figure it out.
Thank you,
Peter

I just commented in a thread about the ASSYST PLUS menu. Can read it here: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...-download.html
Then heres a link to the manual where I found alot of info on the service reminder. Theres alot of info on it. Here: https://charm.li/Mercedes%20Benz/200...d%20Diagnosis/
I'll post a few things you may want to look thru.

Bizarre! That kind of worked.
I followed the first set of instructions past the point where the voltage is displayed and then got a message saying service in 26 days. Then by doing one of the buttons S110S3 or similar, I got to a reset menu and reqested a full reset confirmation. I did this and now it says I have 13000 miles and 365 days to next service.
I’ve had this car for 20 years and don’t recall ever seeing this.

Ha ha! 3-1/2 hours!
You can double that when working in a small garage. At least the brake flush went really smoothly. Also on inspection, I found a decomposed shift linkage bushing. The dealer had it in stock for $7.51 including tax, and it went on in five minutes (not counting driving to the dealer).
Thanks again.
