I need help. Looking to purchase a 2008 e350 and it's in beautiful condition. Service records are impeccable. All service done at Mercedes is whole life including new Continentals just 3k miles ago. It has 110k on it now.
I test drove it for the second time today and ran it hard and it threw the intake code and 2 Cam shaft sensor codes. The engine serial number is in the scenario 2 issues. Not a bad balance shaft, just the sensors. He wanted 6200 but I told him I would do 5k because of the codes and I would fix it myself. I can post the Carfax. It's perfect and the people that owned this previous for 16 years loved the car and
it shows.
Should I pull the trigger off I can do the repairs myself? It doesn't scare me and I'm pretty mechanical. It's for my 17 year old son. Please help in supposed to do the deal tomorrow

Consider putting 2k in escrow for six months if there are additional repairs. If none they get the 2k back . A young man might appreciate a more reliable less fancy car that is younger than he.
