I have an 05 E320 CDI (USA) with factory fitted keyless go and i've damaged the key fob. I can only use it to start the car (turning ignition) but NOT using the start button, keyless entry, or even the lock/unlock and trunck buttons. I wanted to know about repair/replacement options.

Does red light flash?
All the things not working are powered by the batteries.
Starting car is powered by induction from EIS.
Can you take pics of the circuit board, front & back?

I made this thread because the dealer quoted $550 for a new key (newer chrome style) and was told the keyless go would no longer function due it it being discontinued.
I went back today to pick up some brake fluid and decided to ask again (different employee) who took their time and gave me an answer I liked better. Quoted a little over $600 for new key (new chrome style) and new key blade to fit new fob with an addition $225 programming fee. They key is available and not discontinued like I was previously told.

did you get this fixed, I’m having the same issue. Car is equipped with keyless entry and go and neither work due to replacement key.
