Problems with 5g transmission
I have weird problems with my 5G automatic transmission. ( Car is 2007 Mercedes-Benz E320 CDI 4matic)
At start when I got the car car shifted kind of roughly from first so second gear, didn`t think much of it since its a old car but over two years shifting got much worse to the point where whole car body jerks and experiences loud bangs when shifting from first to second or second to third ( I did changed transmission oil and filters 2 times within 2 years).
So finally this week I took the transmission apart and changed internal plates and all the seals (Including solenoid block) and now transmission shifts smooth as butter, but whole new set of problems emerged from that.
When taking off from standstill position calmly, everything is fine and works as it should, but if giving a bit of acceleration then it feels like car doesn`t have any power and also it shifts to next gear nearly at 3k rpm.
Also when I tried driving on the highway at 100km/h it does not shift to 5th gear at all, just rides at around 2.8k rpm. ( Could not do it manually since for some reason when transmission starts to behave weird it disables manual mode completely)
two times i also experienced a problem when shifter was in Drive or Reverse, gear won`t go in at all, behaved like it was in neutral.
I tried resetting the gearbox using Launch, it helped a little bit but did not solve the problem. Only thing I haven`t tried yet is to re-learn gears with Launch.
So I`m kind of at loss here, I`m out of ideas what to try or what else needs to be done ( I don`t believe its physical internal fault, since at city conditions transmission works fine and it shifts smoothly.)
Has anyone experienced similar issues? does anyone have any recommendations or ideas what to try next?
