Thought and questions for improvement!!

Back ground: I have a W211 (08 E350) ELEGANT edition (Luxury). Typical old Mercedes, it requires lots of maintenance and repair. But the car drive beautiful: it is so smooth, isolated, and especially so quiet (much quieter and smoother than the 2016 E350). No engine, tranny, or exhaust noise. It so quiet it feels like driving electric car!!
I recently acquire a 2016 W212 E350 SPORT edition. Since it tuned for sport, the ride is much stiffer, rough (compare to the W211), and especially the engine/exhaust is wayy louder, noisier the W211 Elegant version. Im aware that many new cars, including EVs, manufactures made "fake" engine noise using sound generated through speakers to make the cars more excited!. In the case of Ford Mustang, there was a tube that channeled sound from engine compartment into the cabin....etc. Do the W212 sport edition using some kind of "fake" sound like that? or do they channel sound from engine compartment? If they do, is there a way to disable/block these noises? I like the quietness of the luxury cars....
