Speaking of Puddle Lights

Owning one of the 2004's that have puddle lights I can see them illuminate frequently, but if they were brighter, they would be more useful. As of now, only in very dark situations is their light much use.

Anyone replace the bulbs for brighter illumination?

No, but I find that I need to wash them frequently to remove road dust and dirt which tend to dim the lights.

I have never looked, but I wouldn't mind increasing their intensity as well. The have to be standard bulbs, and thus, there must be ones with greater lumens. I will hopefully have time to play with this over the holidays.

some slow@$$diesels
changing those bulbs for some that hace a different wattage will cause a malfunction message on the IC...and might even cause the bulb not to light up at all anymore...
The door control module only allows limitted wattage to be used by that feature.
