E320 CDi Service schedule
Hi killer
I have a UK 2003 E320 CDi and the system which worked for me to access the service data is a method which supposedly applies to 2005 models, so I suspect that certain software versions/updates etc. are quite variable so...
Try this: -
• Switch ignition to position one.
• Select Outside temperature display.
• Press the trip odometer reset knob three times in quick succession - the voltage reading should appear
• press the down arrow - the Service Menu appears in the display.
• Select the items menu with the + or – button.
• follow the instructions found elsewhere in these posts
Good luck!
I would be very keen to find out if the UK service schedule varies significantly with the US one. The UK's climate is very similar to states like New England so there is a lot of overlap (although I am surprised that the US doesn't have regional variations in its service schedule due the vast climatic range from one state to another).
Can anybody point me in the direction of a UK service schedule?
I have a service E due and in the service data list I have numbers 1,3,4,6,7,13,15 listed
I did find a reference to a service 15 somewhere in these posts I think, but I can't find it again. Also according to the US schedule, No.7 is "change spark plugs"... um... its a diesel!
My local MB dealer wants £686.00 (approx $1350) to complete this service and change the brake fluid... ouch! It's my intention to take the vehicle to my local (trusted) mechanic. But I would like to know for myself what the recommended work should be so I can discuss it from an informed point of view with him!
Any help on this would be much appreciated.
Thank you

I am getting "Service C exceeded by 37 days"
I followed the steps:
1. Switch on ignition. Use the scroll page to get to the temp,mph page.
2. Press the scroll forward and backward button( down arrow) repeatedly until the service date is displayed.( or if it says," Service exceeded.."
3. Keep the trip odometer reset button pressed for approx 5 seconds until the Service Menu appears in the display.
4. Using the + and - buttons, select Confirmation of Service
5. Press the system selection button ( lower of page buttons at 6 O'clock position) to confirm.
6. Press again to confirm.
7. Service Confirmed appears in Multifunction Display
8. Press the same button to get to the standard display
9. Turn ignition off. The next time you turn it on, the reminder should not appear.
#3 is were I am having the problem... after I press trip reset for 5 secs the "warning" dissapears and goes back to temp reading, not "Service Menu" I tried with car on, position one etc... What am I doing wrong??? Also, I used Mobil 1 5-30, is this really going to mess up my car, I recently found out i was suppose to use 0-40?

MB-North America (USA & Canada) warranty covers parts, service, and accessories for one year/unlimited mileage even if your initial MB factory, MB or third party extended, and Certified pre-owned (CPO) warranty expires within this one-year period.

Most likely something to do with the airmatic suspension. Have it diagnosed at your dealer. If your car's airmatic is operating as it should, it could just be a faulty sensor at one of the front wheels or the single rear sensor. Either way, get it checked. You don't want your airmatic to fail on the highway.

OK, here’s the deal on calling up the service data information:
2003-2005
- Switch ignition on (position one);
- Outside temperature display;
- Press button up or down on the steering wheel until the FSS PLUS indicator appears in the display;
- Press the trip odometer reset knob for about five seconds (Service Menu appears in the display);
- Select the items menu with the + or – button;
- Press the menu systems button;
- The service indicator now displays the items (1 – 14);
- Press the menu systems button until the outside temperature display appears.
2006
- Switch ignition on (position one);
- MPH display;
- Press the trip odometer reset knob three times consecutively (Voltage display appears);
- Select the Service menu with the + or – button;
- Service indicator displays items (1 – 14);
- Press the menu systems button until the MPH display appears.

I was trying to reset some individual items in the service menu on my 2003 E55. I had just replaced the engine air filters and charcoal cabin filter and wanted the fss to reflect the changes but I think I totally buggered it up. It now has a malfunction warning saying "Service Memory Full See Operator's Manual".
What can I do to clear this warning?
Thanks,
Steve

06 E350 4Matic
Here is an interesting one for you. I brought over an 06 E350 4Matic from the States to Canada. I went in to MB Canada and they changed the dashboard diplay unit. So now everything is in Canadian terms. Except my service manual is american. I took the car in and the service manager says I am due for a major at 62k km. He mentioned tranny flush, rad flush and some other stuff. I asked him about the canadian service manual and he tells me I can buy a copy from the service dept.
Question is, is the Canadian service manual actually different from the American? OR is just the markings are different in terms of miles/km?

A and B service alternate so C+ = A (+ indicates brake pad check) with additional work relevant to time elapsed/mileage see 05-08 maintenance sheet https://mbworld.org/forums/3294991-post83.html

2006 but use 2007 approach
I have a 06 and I tried the method described above and it doesn't seem to be working for me. Am I doing something wrong?? Someone told me the car has to be on a flat surface so I tried that and no beans. I'm trying to clear a warning that says "Service C exceeded by 8 Days".
Works fine though.
