Aux Jack Input
What could I possibly be doing wrong? Is there additional equipment needed in order to use the aux jack?
I read through the command manual but it was absolutely worthless.
Thank you,
William Cole
Not sure what to tell you, mine is an 04 E320 with a build date of 11/03

Now I've got an excuse to buy an iPod.

BTW, I found it because I finally got the light in the glovebox to come on by turning on the key and opening the glovebox in the dark. The jack showed up right away when I did that.
Do iPOD owners get their music from iTUNES?

I was thinking of downloading iTUNEs music to my PC and burning it to CD's since there are five different CD players in the house plus the ones in the cars. I may get an iPOD but I'm more interested in the music.

At least I didn't get one with my 3/04 build E320.
Anyway, I was looking for the jack and so far as I know it's not shown in any manual.
One last thing. I just turned on my daylight running lights. The snowbirds are back in Arizona and any little bit helps...believe me!

The MP3 songs on your iPod will play through you Aux port or you can also send through a small FM transmitter that sits on top or your iPod direct to your radio tuned to an unused FM station. I find this method as good as using the Aux port. All of my iPod music will play through the Aux port or the FM method. Most of it is in MP3 format but some is AAC (more compressed than MP3). I would think if you have an Aux port in your E-320, your ipod should work with your car.
You can get all of your answers to how iTunes and iPods work on the Apple website.

Anyway, my problem was that I was looking in the wrong place in the glovebox for the jack. So far as I know, there isn't a picture of it anywhere in the MB documentation.

Mini-Stereo Audio Cable, 6 ft.
Part # F8V203-06GLD-AP
Would this work?
* 1/8" Stereo cable
* Male-to-Male
* White
* Lifetime warranty
* 6 ft
That's what you want, except for the color. Don't you think it will clash with your interior? Just keep the glove compartment door closed, and no one will ever know.
