Tires - choices

So I have pulled the trigger on a set of 19's and am looking for tires. Decided on LM6 reps. Wheels will be the staggered 8.5 and 9.5s.
I currently have Falken ST115's (18's) on my S4 (going away this friday ) and my fiancee's c280 and love them but want to know what others have gone with.

I looked at the Fuzion's for a cheaper set (made by Bridgestone from what I understand) and Dunlops as well.

Any and all opinions are welcomed and appreciated.

And yes it will be lowered - just deciding which way to go and how low to go. I am hoping for 1-2 finger gap.

TIA
Mike

I would go for GoodYear's Eagle F1 GSD-3 or Continental's ContiSportContact 2.

They are supreme when it comes to handling and they are even long lasting.

WOW!! You are the first person to say something positive about Continental tires!!!

I drove Contis for years when I lived in Germany. Drove to Sweden on them many times! However, here in the US, the people hate them (almost all Contis are hated). I just bought a set of cheaper (but still good tires) for my Audi and I bought my first set of BFGs, I must say that they are better than any tire my Audi has even had in its 262,000 miles!! I found it hard to believe that they are that good and that cheap!

I had the conti's before on my audi and liked them but was not wowed by them. I will take a look at the goodyears.

I do know to never buy Yoko's ever again - way too soft. Blew through a set in 6K miles.

Here's another vote for the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s. Had a set on my prior BMW 5er. They were quiet, phenomenally good in the wet, gripped well and rode well. The only criticism I could make was that the steering response was on the soft side relative to the excellent Michelin Pilots they replaced. They are reputed to be worse than useless in winter, however, if that's a consideration for you.

I'm contemplating putting some good-looking wheels on my CDI. If I do, it'll be with GS-D3 tires.

Let us know what you buy and how you like them.

Do not get the Conti's! The Goodyear F1's are great, I had them for about 25K miles before replacing. I just replaced with the Michelin's, but the new PS-2's, not the A/S. Either one would be great. They are expensive, but anything less will be disappointing....and very noisy after very few miles.

Whenever I buy tires I always go to tirerack. I don't know if you have done this but it is a great site. It allows you compare all sorts of tires right next to eachother...

Good Luck!
