Has anyone replaced their front OEM grille with the CL grille? If so, with what color? My E500 is silver but I'm thinking of going witht the black one since I have the AMG front bumper and there is a lot of black 'mesh' visable. Would that look bad?

If anyone has pics of a black CL grille on a silver W211 I would love to see them. Any suggestions or thoughts owuld also be appreciated.

Personally, that CL grill isn't that appealing. Just my .02 cents. I really like the stock grill instead. I hope you keep that instead. Either way, good luck with whatever you choose.

I wondered about this too, but in the end I did the black grill on my silver E 320 CDI because I liked the black with the black inset in the lower grill, the black headlight trim (even with the silver trim rings), the black panorama roof and even the black tires. I was a little concerned because the black on the grill is a metal flake while the rest of the black on the car is not, but it is not noticeable.

I think both colors look great but at least with my black pano roof, I preferred the black. You can see photos on the picture thread.

I think the CL grille looks horrible on the E-class, it just doesn't go right with the flow of the car. Just my opinion though...

Either way the grill looks awesome. I get more positive comments and questions about my grill than my 19" Brabus?? $249 versus $7K???

To each his own, I prefer the black grille to the silver (my car is also brilliant silver) because the trim and bumper have black in it so it works a little better for me, plus it doesn't scream LOOK AT MY SILVER GRILLE! Besides if I really don't like the grille, I can simply put my old one back on!
