rear headrest monitors
Besides the original mercedes rear monitors (on the back of the center console) we already offered in the past (at 2500USD installed for most colors and 2000USD for charcoal as long as stock lasts), we will also be offering headrest monitors in the near future...
Depending on what one has and what one wants, there are different possibilities available...
We will be offering fully integrated 7 inch monitors (5 inch screens are available as well but as the price difference isn't that big, I don't think these are interesting) that will be installed into/onto the car's headrest wth the wiring going through the headrest pole (out of sight).
The set will come with 2 wireless headphones and with either a region free DVD player OR a video adapter to connect the screens to the comand (IF a EURO comand WITH video connections is installed already).
The monitors get connected to a control unit that allows up to 3 screens to be connected to it (depending on the setup) and 3 video-in sources. The set also uses a power distributor that has several 12V outlets for the screens and video-in sources and has one 9V outlet for a possible playstation 1. This power distributor will automatically switch off all power outlets once the car's voltage drops below 11.4 volt in order not te get stuck with a dead battery.
This set can be used in combination with euro spec comands and US spec comands...A complete set including installation will cost 4000USD...I will post some pictures tomorow...after finishing the install in a E220CDI.

This is a cheap alternative in the UK - around $485 for 2 screens, brackets and DVD and infra red headphones.

But to an extent then you get what you pay for as you see the wire to each screen - that said I am delighted with the set up and it can move from car to car - and most of the wire hides behind the seat squabs.
