Is there anyway to display date & time on command all the time?

Yup... I always wondered why you had to tell the unit how you wanted the date/time format displayed, yet it is nowhere to be seen!

The only time I see the date and time format is when you use the memory function on the satellite navigation. When you want the system to take your current position and save it under "recent locations" (I think this is what it is called). Then the positions listed under the date and time that it was saved until you rename it.

Also, in the service menu in the MFD the are some places where the time and stuff shows up. But if you don't have the navigation I don't think that this feature is used at all.

It shows as your ETA on the Info. soft tab in the Nav screen. The date shows if your ETA is after midnight today.

Wouldn't it be a classy touch for the date & time to be displayed at the bottom of the radio display all the time?

It would be nice if they could be displayed anywhere! I think that the hands on the anolog clock are too close in lenght. It's hard to tell the minute from the hour hand when quickly glancing at the clock.

I think the analog clock is very classy.. Here we go again, watch they will remove the analog clock and put a neon orange clock in the center of the dash.. Kinda' shades of the center armrest.

Leave the analog clock. Add the date & time to the Comand display. ...and while you're at it add a animated horizontal "thermometer" guage that appears momentarily as you increase or decrease the volume, just like on the tone controlls!
