Well, the E320 didn't go up. I'm guessing that this will place it in alignment with the base E350 when that pricing is announced.

I can think of some happy ED CDI folks on this board!

Late Built 2005 W-211 E-320 CDI
One Time in the Seventies . .

I recall that MBZ had four different prices in 1974.

They are going to get all they can, and if they're not careful,
they will price themselves right out of the market.

I love diesels, having had twelve since the early sixties, but when you figure how much gasoline you could buy for the differences in price between an E-320 CDI and some of the other fine gasoline powered vehicles available, well . .

I get the feeling this was a Euro/Dollar price adjustment. I wish they would publish their pricing for the E350 Sedan and Wagon. Do you think the 320 figures will translate directly to the 350 or will there be a increase?

And W/O the old KY also. :v

Figures however are available for the CLS, and they are about $8K more than an E-500.

So you know that the E-350 is going to be considerably more than the current E-320.

Talking Can't hurt the value of a "used" CDI

If a new one costs more, like new will also fetch more than before the price hike. (my car NOT FOR SALE)....just commenting.

sl and M-class E320 4Matic SLK350
IN a week or two we should Know pricing

The E350 should come in about 3% higher than the 320 based on what our overseas friends report where it is already priced and available. Expect some real deals on the E320's though as the dealers try to clear inventory. On the other hand expect to see dealers selling the E350's for what the msrp presently is for the 320's since this is not a hard to get car and there is a lot of market share incentive by Mercedes and it dealers to keep the wolves from Audi and BMW away.

It certainly looks like the 'best' 211 were those that were manufactured in the first half of 2004. I have no idea how the US would describe this build date, but I am talking about those with full COMAND, nano paint technology, puddle lights, REST, electrical operation of the charcoal re-circulation, SBC Stop plus a few other standard fittings that have been withdrawn.

These features have slowly been removed from the vehicle but without any price reduction.

I do not think the price increase (if any) on the E350 will be that great..maybe a couple of percent. It is replacing the 320 and as such will have to stay in the same price range as the 320. The E is their bread and butter car here and MB does not want to change that The CLS pricing is unrelated to the E series directly although I think is just an E with exterior styling changes.

My guess is less than 2% and maybe only 1%.

I have a car that was produced in that era. My car has everything you mentioned except the SBC stop (since it is a US spec car) and the nano paint since it was made in Austria (4 Matic).

I would have a real hard time not having the "rest" feature. I had asked the dealer about this and they said that only the E320s had that removed. The other, higher models had the feature still. Is this true?

Angry Glojo....sunshades too

I have full shades including rear power. I feel like I won a prize because apparently 2 wks or so later build date and no shades. (Mine=Aug 04).

I would rather see price (and exclusivity) go up than content down. It is Mercedes, after all. (Or was...I guess now its a division of Chrysler, purveyor of the Dodge Neon).
