Some pricing info on the E350 Wagon

I just received some pricing information on the new E350 Wagon. I don't have any line item pricing, only the base and the total cost of what I want on it. It looks like a overall increase of about 1 1/2% over a 2005. With the new engine and 7 speed tranny that seems pretty reasonable to me.

Base for the E350 Wagon 52,300
Total for my package 64,000 (incl $720 Transportation)

My Options:Metallic Paint, Appearance Pkgg., Premium Pkg., Keyless Go, Wood Steering Wheel, Tire Pressure Monitor, Power Tailgate.

Had to think about that one for a while but it finally clicked about our discussion in the other thread...:-) But I still may lose it...I have to negotiate a final deal with one of your CA cohorts. I will keep you up to date.

I estimated $52,500 for base price, so I see I was close. Why the wood wheel, I personally think it takes away from the look. It looks OK with the "brown" wood, but the "black" is so sporty I like the leather wheel better. Also, sell me on the keyless go. I can't quite see why I'd spend $1060 on it. How long will it take to get your car? I should pick mine up in March...don't have a hard date yet (or price). I'll check with my sales gal tomorrow. I'm getting all the other options you are getting. Are you getting Sat radio? I can't get that until I get back to the States.

The wood wheel makes the interior I think. I had the leather in my '03 Sport and instgalled the wood shortly after I got it. It is the Black Maple and believe me it does wonders for the look. I like the black interior but wanted another look for the wagon and I think the Walnut contrasts nicely with the Ash leather. The new Brochure has some shots of the Ash and Walnut combination. As far as the Keyless Go, I can't really sell it to you...I like the description and I like toys to play with.

I have not placed an order yet since I am still "consulting" with some dealers on my car and their discounts. I will place one in the next week or two and would probably be looking at April maybe.

On the SIRUS radio, I do not spend that much time in the car and my favorite CD's and MP3's will suit me fine. Also with the antenna locations and installations I have seen they would have to make it a lot less obtrusive before I would even consider it. Not on my want or need list.

Let's see some pictures inside and out when you take delivery. It looks like we will have almost the same car except for the wood color and some options. I am looking forward to the new engine and tranny also.

BTW...you can see some interiors with the wood wheel at one of my web sites.

I had the CL Grille on in these pictures but just yesterday put the stock grille back on pending the future trade.

Your car is beautiful. The wheel does look nice, I must admit. Do you understand that the 350 has the 4 zone air? Seems like all the pictures I see of it, the 4 zone is pictured. I saw a Euro spec 350 wagon and it had the same controls as the 320. Also, I read somewhere that the free service is coming back with the 06 MY, true?

Thanks for posting the pictures, they are awsome...you keep your car like everyone should!

Thanks...it is a really nice car but I really miss my wagon.

The new brochure does not indicate that 4 Zone has returned. The specs list it on the E500 or AMG but not on the E350. The picture feature also indicates it is not on the E350,even as an option. Bummer!

I have not read anything about the free service returning. The brochure talks about the new "fixed" 13,000 mile interval for service. It also now has a "no charge Service Welcome" which means you can take it in between 1000 and 3000 miles and have a diagnostic check and answer any questions you have. You also get a free tire rotation before 6000 miles.

BTW...consider Charlcoal mats with your Ash interior. You can see I have them in mine and they really make a difference in appearance. The Ash mats show every scuff and mark. When I want to make an impression I pull out the nice clean new Ash ones from the cabinet....:-)

A dealer in CA FedEx'd it to me last week. It is the same as the 2005 but with the E320 stuff taken out and the 2006 E350 added in its place, plus whatever things are new for now. I think the entire E line for 2006 is supposed to be facelifted. The brochure is 2005 for the E500/CDI and AMG. I don't have it on pdf or any way to send it.

I also think the new Sport package will be introduced later this year. It is nice but I like the Appearance and from what I understand you can have one or the other when it does become available?

Thanks
Went to build my own and selected Appearance Package and Leather. On the 320 site, there was no charge for leather since as I understand, it is part of the package. On the 350 site, it indicated that I had to pay $1500 for leather even know I selected Appearance Package and Active Ventilated seats. Web site mistake or MB rip off? The package description on the new site says "...Package requires Leather Interior, Semi-Active Suspension, which is included in the price of the Appearance Package. I really hope my new car comes with the full leather interior.

On my order form I got from MB it says Ash Leather Code 838 No Charge. Is code 838 the premium leather or leather inserts?

This is apparently in the Netstar system wrong also. I had one dealer give me a list of $64000 and another a list of $65500 for the same configuration. When I called the high dealer and explained that the leather was included in the Appearance package he called me back and said he was in error and the leather is included. I think the code for the standard leather inserts is 138. Based on the "838 No Charge" I think you are fine. They will not build the Appearance Pkg on the car without full leather.

Don't you find it strange that the customer has to point out what is and what is not included in the Options? We don't have salesman anymore, just order takers.

You have posted this twice on this thread and one or two others. The problem above does not refer to the MBUSA site but has to do with Netstar/Salesman errors. Thanks for the original posting.

For the new coming E350, I get my sources from www.GermanCarFans.com and many diff magazines this month and pretty much know/understand what come with the sport package, but have not heard any thing about the Appearance pkg, please educate me.
Correct me if I'm wrong , is it true that MB's taking off the HID headlights from the Sport Pkg for some goodies like bigger drilled brakes, multi 18" wheels and new design rear skirt with dual exhaust tips?

I don't think this URL is working anymore and the regular MBUSA site has the standard 2005 E320 information.

The Appearance Package has 17" wheel with lowprofile tires, blue tint glass, air suspension, leather interior, brushed aluminum shift base, exterior mods (not AMG), you can read the details on the 2005 E320 at the MBUSA site and they are the same on the E350. The new Sport package is different and cannot be ordered with the Appearance Package. US details have not been released yet on the NEW Sport package except for the URL posted above yesterday but that has disappeared? MB can cause more confusion with there products than any other car manufacturer
