CLS Split-spoke wheels on E500?

I recently went to get my E500 sport 2005 wheels chromed and ended up buying brand new split spoke wheels off of a man who had just received his 2006 CLS 500 AMG and was upgrading to 20''s. They drive great, but they are at least an inch wider tires so they just stick out a tiny bit, which I do not mind the look of and mercedes says it doesn't seem to be rubbing, but is there anyway someone can move them a half inch in so they don't stick out? What needs to happen to do that? Thanks.

I am pretty sure they measure 245/40R18, 265/35R18

You cant correct this, if the wheel was to far in you could use a spacer.
Having a wheel too far can put an added strain on the suspension and over time your lower rocker panels will get chipped up from the tire throwing rocks etc....

Lucky you! I think those are the same wheels as the E55AMG, so they should work and fit perfect on your car. Can you post some pics?

Lorenzer.

Lorenzer, I don't understand what you mean about Suspension issue. If tire is wider why will it strain suspension? I am new to this and Mercedes didn't mention this nor did the the wheel shop. Thanks.

Oh, and I will post pics asap.

Fender flares?

If a nice (non ghetto-cruiser) looking set of flares exists I would get them and have them painted to match the car. Unless you need chrome for the bling.

Sorry to bring up an old thread...

BUT... Do the current E55 or CLS wheels fit on my 06 E350 without sticking out? I just got it last Wednesday and want to take off the 16"

I thought the E55 was the same exact body as the E350? I am looking as various wheels but keep coming back to the stock E55 AMGs.... I DO NOT want them sticking out...

I like these... (If these pics of your car... Sorry.. I have been downloading wheels for the last 3 days to find something... the 16's are killing me....

The CL65 wheels were a quick photochop.. but you get the idea... I think they are too dark>>>
