dealers hate panoramic sunroofs
I can't find anyone having any serious problems in this forums. What gives?
Most likely scenario is that pano-roof not on lot (or regional inventory) and would prompt ordering a car versus selling existing stock.
The service manager would have to pay the salespeople the commission equivalent to get them to stop selling features, or, there is an outside chance he is being genuine. More stuff, bottom line, is more that can go wrong (and will, as the vehicle ages).

One very small problem. A small plastic piece that pulls down the flap as it closes broke and had to be replaced. Less than $5 for the part, maybe 10 minutes to replace but of course, under warranty.
One reason for not seeing as many now might be because the Premium Package that had a lot of the extras bundled for a decent price is only available with the regular sunroof. Also, I think the only way now to get the built in shades is to buy the Sunroof Package which again is only the regular sunroof. On my 2003, I have the shades and they were a seperate option that is not now available without the Sunroof Package.
So when it does have problems, it can be quite expensive and leave you in a loaner for a while.

I wonder your dealer might tell you how great pano roof is if he had 10+ pano roofs car in his lot. LOL
