Its Official MB Is run by Misers
Go to MBUSA.com and check out the New E Class. When you try to reserve it, u can build one and then it shows you the E 320 comes standard with Leather Inserts... not full leather.

Guess the standard upholstery in the Euro-version will be made of cloth, so don't complain! (By the way, I would get the cloth interior in any MB if it was available...)

Sorry to tell you this but no car built today has full leather except maybe the Rolls-Royce. Manufacturers have been mixing vinyl with leather for years for many reasons. Durability, looks and cost. If your interior was full leather it would look like a stretched out glove after a few years. MB-Tex and BMW leatherette are actually very good products. From my understanding
their excuse was Mad Cow Disease is making leather sparse so they had to compensate.
That is the reason, I am told, why leather was so sparse or not available on the early C Coupes.
