Mercedes Bluetooth will not turn off from MOTO RZR cellphone

Hi guys, I have a strange situation here;
I have a 2008 E350 4matic Mercedes for which I bought the Bluetooth adapter ($500 scam). Anyway, my Moto Razr V9 phone automatically connects to the MB BT as soon as I start the car. The problem is, when I turn the ignition off the BT stays on. Furthermore, I can go inside the house, office, etc. and as long as I'm within range the phone stays connected to the vehicle. I ***** you not, it's been longer then 15 minutes today and the phone was still connected after I placed it on my office (car was parked outside approx. 15 ft. away). How do I or can I set the BT adapter to turn off? I don't even understand how or why the car stays in "low power mode" to support my BT if the ignition is off. What use is that? Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

The W212 approach is totally different from your car. You would get better help from the 211 section. Some cars disconnect from the on-hook button if I remember right but you may need to disconnect from your phone. Or move your garage some 50 yards further away so that the BT connection gets lost when you leave the car.

Thumbs down

I'm sorry but WHAT???
The W211 is a different approach then my 2008 E350? Are you saying I am in the wrong forum category? I saw W211 and W212 and judging by the short sub header my car fit the description for this post.

Second, your "joke" about moving the garage 50 yards back so that the Mercedes bluetooth kit properly disconnects from my phone is the exact reason why Mercedes just doesn't get it. I'm going to spare you the details of my background, but I understand technology, and this car is a POS in terms of the features it offers. Besides being an overrated brand, and charging exorbitant lease price, I had to get all the "standard" vehicle features as an extra including this POS bluetooth adapter that's giving me a headache.

Thanks for being completely unhelpful, buddy.

Before starting to talk like that, read carefully and do a bit of homework. Your W211 is not a W212, pretty simple.

We could continue more seriously with the phone issue but I'm sure you can find someone who likes your attitude more than myself. Good luck.

A simple reply to say "wrong forum" would have done the job.
Instead your incoherent reply and even worse attempt at making a joke is the problem.

Do a little bit of research of social networks and standard etiquette on message board replies.
