Question When will MB USA start taking orders for the new E-Class vehicles?

I guess what I'm looking for is to see the various new 2010 E-Class sedans up on the MB USA website “Build a Vehicle” with in-depth descriptions, prices, packages and options to review before talking to an MB Dealer. Just seems like it's taking forever. BMW USA already has the 2010 5-Series up on their website for at least the last couple of weeks. MB stop the procrastinating already!

The buying guide is now available in pdf on the net. Or stop in at the local dealer and get it. BMW 2010 5 series isn't undergoing a big change until 2011 (F10/11); MBUSA will change their website soon.....

So 5 series expects to be redesigned only for 2011? To bad, I hope to deal clearly with getting W212 in summer of 2010, but now I have to consider two makes.

MB USA will most likely post the E-Class info on their web in July. The pdf's on the net were European and not much help with packages.

Yeah new 5-Series in 2011. I've heard from a source BMW may release some Pictures in the next 2-3 months (probably to get some potential E buyers to wait a bit longer until the F10 5'er comes out if they like it).

Now looking at the website I'm really disappointed. I was looking forward to seeing some of the interior options I saw earlier this year in photos.

E550 (W212) 2010
What is puzzling is that the wood trim choices are limited to black and burl on MBUSA configurator...

In one of the release photos they showed this great matte finish wood....with distinct beautiful pattern... Does anyone know what MB calls it?

Also, what do you guys think about Metallic Green color?

2010 E350 Sedan

I took delivery of my new 2010 E350 the other day. Great car as it was one of the Launch vehicles which were sent to all of the Mercedes Benz dealership.

You can view the new E-Class on mbusa and build your next E-Class vehicle.

Enjoy the Ride....bill

Great! Way to go. Good luck! Did you get a Coupe or Sedan? I'm looking to buy the Coupe; waiting for a test car with the Sport Package to take for a ride. I tested car with regular suspension & 17" Tires. Enjoy!!!

I think that any car in that color will be sitting on the dealer's lot for a looooooong time. I went with my friend to a MB dealership to purchase his car in 2007, and we saw a green E-Class on the lot (probably special-ordered by someone, who didn't take delivery). I went to the same dealership with my friend to purchase my car a few weeks ago (2 years later), and the exact same car is still there. I wouldn't be surprised if the dealer offered $20K off invoice for anyone to just get it out of there... especially with the 2010 redesigns coming in!

2010 E350 4-Matic, Silver, Blk Leather, P2 package, Sport pkg, Drive Dynamic Seat
Pricing

I confused about pricing on the 4-Matics.

2009 E-550 4Matic - Base $63,200
2010 E-550 - Base - $56,300 add $2,500 for 4Matic = $58,800
Savings of $4,400 on the 2010 model.

2009 E350 4Matic - Base $53,200
2010 E350 - Base $48,600 add $2,500 for 4Matic = $51,100
Saving of ONLY $2,100 on the 2010 model.

I did notice that the 2009 E-550's base was $61,700 vs $63,200 for the 4Matic.

However on the 2009 E-350 the base model and 4-Matic were priced the same at $53,200.

Am I missing something?

Yeah your missing something lol. Leather is available for $1,590 in Black, Almond, Ash, and Natural Beige (Sedan Only Option).

As far as the post about interior options on earlier photos, keep in mind those were of pre-production cars. That said, the production version looks nearly identical to those pre-production shots minus the Matte Wood.

On the wood subject, someone was asking earlier about the wood choices and I have a feeling the build your own site isn't 100% accurate. Burl Wood Trim is only available with the Almond Beige interior according to the build your own, but I have a feeling it will be available with the other colors as well. What the build your own site is failing to tell you is there are two versions of the E class just as there are for the C class, a Luxury and a Sport version. Just like when the C class was launched, the Burl Wood Trim will only be available on the Luxury versions, but should be an option with all the interior colors. The Black Ash Wood Trim would be available with the Sport version only with the Black, Ash, and Natural Beige interiors. The Almond Beige Sport version would have Burl Walnut Wood Trim.
