Congrats! Lucky wife, she will have one beautiful E-Class and certainly will be a head turner since there will be so few on the roads! Please post pictures, and let us know if the dealer gives you any difficulty, because it is definitely a special order option. What interior colors are you considering? The Almond/Black would look great, so would the Chestnut Brown which is also a special order choice for the new E-Class.

just got a 2010 e350 with curprite brown (almond beige interior)....very happy with it.
I can confirm a few things that I have read on this thread:
It is a special order....it costs an additional $720. I happened to see one at the dealer (carlsbad, california) and bought it...the dealer says that they had only one, and can't get anymore...but I am sure that where there is a will, there is a way.
If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I saw a Cuprite Brown I believe driving yesterday. I think it was at least. It was a purple-y/brown-y hued Black. In sunlight is when the colors really came alive.

Cuprite Brown is not a popular colour. I went round the E Class production line last year and out of hundreds of cars there was not a single Cuprite Brown colour. Every other colour was represented but not Cuprite.

That's interesting. I wasn't going to say anything, lest I step on some toes. But when I first saw the OP's pics I thought it looked a bit like Sienna Black but with lots of purple in it.
I had a Sienna Black and in bright sunlight it looked like "root beer." In diffuse light it looked black, but not a deep black and just slightly brown.
In the end, I didn't like the paint. It's normally sunny in SoCal and I kept seeing a brown car with too much flake in it instead of a black-darkish brown car. It began to look tacky, imho.
Anyway, it seems like over the years I'm becoming less enamored with metallic paints and tend to like solid colors better.

I just ordered my E Blutec beginning of May for July build. All that was on the order sheet was "Cuprite Brown" as a special order. Perhaps when the production data arrives it will have a ID number. This is a USA delivery so it definately is available as a new color

I think also that chrome and Cuprite brown is cool combo. Need sun that color come to life, and when car moving, sunshine brings up the colors of the car. Picture not show everything.
Here is some pictures of my car..

It's a shame this cool color is not as popular as white color does

Resale of this color?? The local dealer has a pretty good deal on a 2013 but I'm concerned that it is a good deal because the color is a hard resale. I could see buying it myself because it resembles our first maroon Mercedes from years gone by but don't like the idea of being "stuck' with it.
