just bought a new e550 on sunday for my wife. it is white with the amg sports package, p2 package and parktronic. i really like the car and cannot wait for the odometer to get over 1000k so i can gun it!!

You don't have to drive 1000k, some 1500 km or 1000 miles is enough.

sticker was $65355 give or take a few hundred. got the car $62175 plus tax and lic. i hope i did well on the sale price..

That's definitely a good deal. My E350 with AMG Package (when they were charging like $5K for the package) was $60+K new!

go to anaheim hills mb dealer and ask for ken. i am sure he would love to give the same deal. very easy to deal with!! and they have a ton of e350's on the lot.

I know with the 07 - 09 E's, it is very hard to find 550's. I see more 63's out there than 550's. I wonder if that will change with the new model as I have seen a couple of 550's already.

bang for your buck the e550 wins hands down!!! less then 1 second slower then an e63amg, less then a bmw550i and less then the audi a6 superchrged. sure its not as nimble as some but how many of us drive the slalom to work?

Yeah. It usually falls pretty low on my list of "requirements/desires" when it comes to cars. I actually always thought my car with the AMG Sport Package/Suspension handles pretty damn good, even a bit stiff. Don't get me wrong, I HATE sloppy and "poor" handling cars, as they feel downright unsafe (and again, sloppy), but as long as it does the job decently enough for me, I'm happy.

Awesome. Just for reference, I got my E550 coupe with P2 package & appearance package for $59,625 + tax, but I live in Atlanta. I have to wait 4 or 5 more weeks to get my hands on it, though. It's being built next week. trading up from my 2007 c230.

To me, handling and speed, you can only use so much. Honestly, I think my car with the airmatic handles really well for such a heavy car and our CL with ABC is amazing. In regards to speed, I wouldn't need anything over a 550 engine, after that I really wouldn't use it. More important, the comfort for long distance makes a big difference for me. That's why I love MBs. I even took a C300 to Vegas once, and it was quite comfortable I must say (way better than our previous 07 C230 with AMG sport package, that thing was harsh). I'd get out of the car after an hour drive and be like wtf is up with my back.
