Transit time for factory order

Can anyone share their experience in transport time across the water and from Jacksonville to their dealership. In 2002 using the VIN I was able to track a BMW 330Cic from "scheduled for production", "Loaded on vessel{Figaro)", ship port-o-calls and loaded on truck for dealership. Can't seem to get this kind of information for my E350 that was produced 09/07/09.

Should be . . . . .

Should be pretty soon now - I ordered a 2009 last May, and from final assembly to the boat, then 6 days on the water, a couple of days on the east coast picking-up all the lose bolts and whatever US prep, then three days to the midwest for delivery.

Enjoy the new car !

About 2 weeks on the water to VPC, 1-2 days for processing, then 4-7 days to truck. So total about 3-4 weeks.

Dealer updates reported that E350 left Bremenhaven on 09/12 and arrived at VPC 09/27. May arrive at dealer as early as end of week. Will post pics as soon as I pick up.

Not sure if it is the same ship, but I have been tracking the vessel my car is on since it left Bremerhaven on 9/16. My car was produced on 9/8, delivered to the port on 9/12 and left on 9/16. It arrived in Baltimore a couple of days ago and is supposed to be in Jacksonville as of today. My sales rep gave me the ship name and expected arrival date in Los Angeles of 10/13/09.

The name of the ship is the Goliath Leader. It goes in and out of range on the web site, currently it is "out of range" but supposed to have already arrived at Jacksonville.

I am assuming it will spend a few days there and then travel to the panama canal and eventually arriving in LA on 10/13/09.

Here is a link to a site I am using to track it.

I am waiting for a E550 Sedan, steel gray. Loaded with the exception of the distronic and night vision. If I had only known that Chestnut interior was available as a special order, I would have been all over it. As it stands, it is a black interior.

A few more weeks for me...

I have been using the same site for tracking Garnet Leader. It was in Baltimore then I lost range but trip schedule shows a Brunswick stop. It is now in Miami but my dealer reported that car is now at Jacksonville VPC.

Been driving BMWs since 1984 (not counting my F150) and this is my first MB, E350 Sedan, Indium Gray, Almond leather, loaded minus panoramic roof and night vision.

I found some travel partners on Goliath at

Goliath Leader's call sign is C6WE5. A goggle may turn up more info. I found eta for panama canal 20091002200000.
