New Wheels on W212 E Class Sedan

What's up Guys I just put some new wheels on my w212 they are eurosport euro 30's here are some pics and here is a great deal on ebay for them

they fit and look amazing on the car!

Let me know what you guys think, right now it is really hard to find some new wheels for this car because many rim companys aren't making them. This company eurosport has them but they have very limited supply because they keep selling out.

Let me know what you guys think of these. New to the forum this is my first post of many!

Car looks stunning, 350 or 550 ? Sweet wheels, what size are they ? Also where did you get the sidemarkers ? Or did you have them painted ? Tinted ?

Side markers I tinted with vinyl tail light tint the wheels are 20's staggered.

Falken 452 tires 245/30/20 front 285/25/20 rear

i started with 245/35/20 and they rubbed like crazy in the front. My car does have sport package.

Since you're enjoying the new W212 chassis, don't spoil the dynamics with 20s.

Baller looks=crap handling. It's a fact, Jack.

Props for being amongst the first to offer rims for the car. I think they look alright but don't work with the car 100%.

Maybe I'm trippin', but I feel like I've seen a similar style on some 360 Modena's actually.

I agree about 20's being a no-no on E-Classes, although they fit on a 212 more
(20's look horrible on 211's), however I'd stick with 18's or 19's personally.

How did the car drive compared to the factory original 18" for the Sports Model? I'm very concerned that it will not be as smooth as it is driving now if I go for 20" wheels. Appreciate your impartial comments.

Again more pontificating from the little man of the past model W211 AMG forum. Tell me 220S would 20" wheels be the same" faux pas" as brown shoes with a tuxedo?

Sorry, but for me the rivets are not attractive and make the rim to busy.

2 stupid questions:
1) any mods needed to fit the wheels and
2) how have they affected ride/handling?

I think they look good....I don't love the rivets but the spoke pattern works.

none that I'm aware of. Call Rich @ DubzDirect.com he did everything, white glove service. the best I've dealt with.

2) how have they affected ride/handling?

I've only had em a day to really feel it out but its definitely stiffer and a very very small touch harder but I actually like it. haven't noticed any real sacrifice its just a different thing.

Not feeling that setup, it's like a totally riced out E-Class.

while I won't personally use derogatory vernacular I can agree with the sentiment of my prior posters.

To each his own though.

Whether you see my post as pontificating, is up to you.

But it is a fact that the larger rims have an effect on handling. A chassis is designed for specific sizes of wheels and tires and if you want looks, then just be prepared for a change in handling dynamics. And that is a fact. Sorry.

Sure, 100% of folks who change to bigger wheels are doing it for looks only and aren't concerned with handling. And the majority will never notice it since they are simply cruising around city streets (and good luck fighting with the crap potholed roads out there.) But check the AMG forums and you'll see lots of posts about going back to stock size rims after running 20s.

Unsprung weight is huge factor, too. Quality lightweight 19s would be max if you do care about chassis issues.

As I said, "baller looks=crap handling." Looks or performance, the choice is yours....
