Lexus IS 350 F Sport
I went to the dealer recently to get pricing on this car and my salesman said that MB did a few things different this year:
1. Lowered residual values of all their cars for leases
2. Has/will lower total production numbers and create a low supply
3. Using a higher interest rate than previous years
As a result, I was sticker shocked at the new numbers.
My previous deal was so much better.
My lease will be up early next year but I am not sure what I am going to do.
I may have to check with BMW and Audi and see if they are more flexible.
Any truth to what my salesman told me?

Porsche Macan S SportDesign / Ex M-B's: 11 & 10 & 06 E350's, 02 S500
Just FYI for you guys. I stopped by an Indie Dealer today to help look for a car for a friend, they have an E-Sedan, with the "Premium" wheels, etc. They're selling it for like $47K if I remember correctly, has just like 3-5K Miles on it.
Got me curious enough to see what these cars are going for slightly Used, some CPO models (MUCH better Warranty then what you get if you buy it new) are going for high $40's (E350). We're talking like 800-3K Miles. Good option if someone's not looking to Lease. Give it some odd months and you'll see cars with less than 10K Miles going for easy $40's or better, again, with a much better than new Warranty.
Something to consider for potential buyers.

Hmm, I dunno, that's quite a bit of Mileage, and it's a Demo.... Maybe not bad since it's well Loaded though. however I do know that P1 models with 7K Miles-ish are able to be found for mid-high $40's.

Regulation M - Consumer Leasing Act
Regulation M implements the consumer leasing portions of the Truth in Lending Act. The purpose of Regulation M is to assure that lessees of personal property are given accurate and meaningful disclosures of the terms and conditions of personal property leases. These disclosures allow consumers to compare various lease terms or to compare lease terms with credit terms.
As far as taxes go, different state/counties have different rates.
It would be helpful to have the amount of taxes broken out.
Bottom Line, When you and your dealer sit down and agree on a price for a leased car, this becomes the capitalized cost, or "cap cost."

Although this information is somewhat helpful the Capitalized Cost of the lease is missing. (actual disclosed purchase price in a lease)

the bottom line is still the same....- payment, miles per year. length of a lease and Money Due at sign in..
BTW..you never told us your deal ? Is it a secret ??? Tell us your Cap Cost and payment ))

Why do you need to know Cap cost if you talking about leasing and have no intention to buy a car at the end of your lease ?? the bottom line in every lease is money due at sign in and monthly payment. Give me MB for $300 a month with $2,000 due at sign in and I don't care what is Cap cost and residual at the end.....Of course..if you wanna buy a car at the end - it's another story... You will prob say that lease price depends on Cap Cost..and you'll be right...but...
the bottom line is still the same....- payment, miles per year. length of a lease and Money Due at sign in..

IMO, I don't think others want to figure out a Jigsaw Puzzle when they can just be informed of the CAP COST so that they can accurately compare pricing whether they PURCHASED OR LEASED.
Buyers on the forum have:
Different Tax Rates
Different Money Factors depending on when the car was purchased due to MB programs at the time of purchase.
Different License Fees due to state, county or city
Different Dealer Delivery fees and charges.
Different Length in months
Not everyone leases and this thread does not just include lease payments.
I hope this satisfies your curiosity on "why I need to know Cap Cost"
-------------
I will happily share my purchase price with you as soon as I'm comfortable that your is not BS.
I hope other forum members are not offended by this post but I feel "aeggroup" is needlessly agitating. If not, then I apologize now for my interpretation.

I don't think these numbers are a big help, because all purchases are different. In my case, I have a trade-in car and that changes everything.
In Canada, the salesman can show you the new car, but when it comes to leasing the deal is forwarded to dead office and they establish the price and that is it. If you think for a minute these guys would sell you a car below cost, a brand new model that has a waiting list, then you believe too that the Americans landed a man on the moon.
The same goes for the trade-in car. They call in the car to head office they come up with a price and that is it, if the local dealer wants to change any price, he can do so, but at his own expense.
Yes there are times when they have the wrong inventory and it has to be moved, but in general to outsmart all the departments is almost impossible, they walk away from the deal.
So in all due respect, if somebody can order a brand new E-Class, that has a waiting period for other orders and gets in excess of $ 10,000.00 off the list price, I find that hard to believe.
Nobody even mentions their trade-in car, I know that is a non issue when it comes to leases. But the last time I saw a lease form, it had more than one line for the price and there are numerous items where they can put the boots to you, some people may not realize that at the time they make the deal, but they will find out, when the lease car is returned.
Maybe I am talking to the wrong salesman.

I didn't have a Cap Cost to give since I did not lease.
MSRP & minor accessories. : $56170 Purchase Price: $50,555
Issue with "ageggroup" resolved.
Can we now include "CAP COST" in lease postings as it is relevant for comparison to those who do not lease.
