This is my logic, too. I figure, if I'm going to be the one hit with the depreciation, I'm going to buy the car *I* want and not the one that the next guy will want...

2011 E350
2011 E350 - P2/Sport/Parktronic/Distronic/Black Leather, Black, Black, and more Black.

$MSRP a tad over $60k. Paid $53,000. Dont have paperwork in front of me for the exact MSRP - It lacks the night vision and rear roof I know that much - even has Distronic thing.

Thanks for the posts. Yesterday I purchased the E550, P2, parktronic, drive-dynamic drivers seat for 10k back of msrp. It's on a boat so I'll be waiting a couple of weeks before it arrives.

MB had some good lease deals, but Ive found that I never feel the same about a car when I'm renting it. The 550 averages 2 miles per gallon less than the 350 or 36 miles per tank. For 9.00 per fill up, (at least for now) it was worth the better ride and oh yes the POWER!!

About To Take The Plunge...Need Opinions

I put a (refundable) deposit on an E350 Bluetec equipped as follows...Silver Metallic,MB-Tex,Burl Walnut,Premium 1,Distronic,Parktronic,Wood/Leather Steering Wheel,Rear Folding Seat,Rear Airbag.

Sticker about 62K......offer (accepted) 56,800.The car is about 600 miles from the dealer so there are transportation costs involved.

From what I've read here I didn't get a *fantastic* deal but I'm wondering if I got at least a reasonably good deal.

Thoughts????

I think that anytime you get to around 10% off MSRP you are doing good. I negotiated for 12% but you have to remember that 1500 of that was what they call Conquest cash for people who own a competing luxury brand automobile. If you take that out, we are in the same ballpark.

Enjoy you car. I can't wait unitil mine gets here!! FYI, I also made them give me a lowner E350 as I had already sold my other car. Thats worth another 500. in my opinion.

Hi, first post here. Been looking for a new car for about 2 months now and began zeroing in on the E-class. Test drove e350s both RWD and 4matic. Found this forum and began avidly reading threads. You guys are awesome with your posts, helpfulness and general willingness to share experiences.

Anyway, after reading here decided I needed to check out the 550. Test drove one yesterday and ended up purchasing, lol. The particulars:

2011 E550 Sport/Obsidian Black/Black Leather/Burl/Split Folding Rear Seats/Panorama Sunroof/Rear Deck Spoiler/P2/Driver Assist.
MSRP: 70375
Paid: 60800

Car is f'ing awesome and am more than pleased with the deal. Of course I've got just 27 miles on the clock but it has blown me away so far. I would have preferred a lighter leather such as natural beige and maybe black ash but when we agreed on the price I couldn't refuse. Yes I know the my12s will be out soon but I couldn't pass up the NA V8 engine and Airmatic. Your fault I think!

No down and $510 a month? WOW.

How does that equity point work in a Lease? Basically your car is worth more than the payoff by so much that they actually owe you on the trade-in?

Also, what's the difference between incentive and loyalty? I actually know of the loyalty programs (or I guess you qualify if you're coming off of an M-B Financial Loan), what how do you qualify for the incentive?

I think it's a little high. My son-in-law just got the car Black/Black, P2 package, 4matic, Parktronic, Sport Package for $650/month ( NY tax included), drive off about $1,500 including first payment. 33 months/12K a year.

What Los Angeles dealer did you go to? I'm thinking about waiting until the 2012 E350, but if the price is right I might jump early. 14% off sounds great to me, and off of a base model too!

Simonson in Santa Monica. PM me for the fleet manager's name. He very easy to work with. We sat in his office in front of their lease calculation system and just ran lots of scenarios. I received an incentive for switching from my Lexus.

I was told that base models are tough to come by and generally in high demand. I didn't see the value in the P1 package (for me) and the P2 was out of my range.

Mention my name if you talk to the fleet manager. My friend bought a car from him on the same day (we actually did the deal at the same time).

Oh wow, a real "Base" model! Very rare. When I hear "Base" I think of a P1 car, lol.

Great deal though, you can't beat a brand new E-Class for $43 friggin' grand.
