Defect in chrome rims or road debris causing a chip problem

I was curious if anyone else has the 6 spoke AMG rims the car comes with in Chrome ( I do), and if so does anyone have small marks on the inside areas of the rims that look like road chips, but might be small pits (not sure).

It looks like little scratch areas in some places, but small little chip marks in others, and I had chrome rims on a previous car(different type of rim) and never saw any marks on the rims , even after years of driving.

I dont believe these marks were on the rims when I got them just 2 months ago , and I am just trying to figure out if perhaps these are getting more road abuse than previous ones, or is there a defect in the chrome perhaps.

I will bring the car back to the aftermarket place I got them from for their views, but was curious in advance for any insights someone might have.

They are not really noticeable unless one looks at the rims close up, as I saw it when cleaning the rims.

Thanks in advance for any inputs.
