Ready to MOD???
I have had my new E for approx 02 mth and i am now considering some MOD on it .....
1) It's good to have the on board DVD player for the new E, however it seems like no use on the vehicle as the computer embargo to have video during the car movement.... if any one working on this to overide it??
2) The DRL LED obvisouly dim down when the head light is on. Is there any way to make it like the day time when the head light is off??
3) I am thinking if any aftermarket exhuest tip to put on the new E..... The stock rectangle one is a bit ..... well ~~ looks good but not sporty enough...haha

1) its been done, i cant remember the company but i will look for it
2) its all in the wiring, the same company for the dvd should be able to do it.
3) KEEP IT ORIGINAL. change the exhaust but keep the original tip

Speaking of software modifications... Does anyone know if there is a way to "override" the nav system to allow you to input an address while in motion? I know it is a safety feature, and I am sure I will get used to it after a while, but just curious if anyone has been able to bypass this.

JBean, that was asked before. There's a thread here somewhere. Not sure what the outcome was. But do a search. The previous models allowed it, so I'm guessing there's a fix.
To the OP, there is a Euro fix on the last COMAND system for DVD playback in motion. Check the W211 AMG forums.
Both are nice if you have a bored passenger who wants to watch films or help act as navigator........
Also check with SteveMBenzNL. Send him a PM. He does Euro installs for people here and dealers. Excellent work, btw. He travels all over Europe and comes to the US once a month or so. Look here: www.MBenzNL.com
