The harder thing is to see that the Chevrolet Cruze passed these tests much better.
Also the MB GLK offered similar protection.
Also note that this is the european test program; not the official IIHS or NHTSA program recognized in the US, who have not yet tested the W212. Interesting to see how the results will compare.
I wouldn't be too concerned about these test results; they have often been criticized for not reflecting "real-world" crash conditions. Should the unfortunate accident happen, chances are high you'll fare much better in your MB than most of the competition. And with Tele-Aid, emergency response will be on the scene quickly.
PS. did you note the hazard lights automatically turn on following the crash?

I thought it would do better as well, and the frontal score isn't all that great with the yellows in two areas, but M-B's never do good in Standardized Tests, it's all about "real world" for them.
