2011 E350 4 Matic
I have a 2010 E350 and I did the hack to get the BT to work; it works when I de-authorize my iPhone 5 and re-enable it like everyone else in this thread. I contacted two different dealers (MB of Fayetteville and MB of Cary) and both of them said that there's no update to the COMAND for my car. Has anyone else had this same problem with getting the dealer to do the update? I had one SM say that he can't just arbitrarily update my system because I want it updated, is this the case? Thanks in advance
The only thing is that my voice command is not working, they say that this car never had it that functionality (command without nav), personally i dont mind as i can use Siri.

Is your car out of warranty? Mine was updated recently after i complained that i can stream using an android but not with an iPhone 5. They updated that for me and now i also have climate control displayed on the bottom of the screen (temp, fan speed and airflow direction).
The only thing is that my voice command is not working, they say that this car never had it that functionality (command without nav), personally i dont mind as i can use Siri.

Yes, my warranty expired last year. When I spoke to the SM he said that my car never had this function and that the BT audio streaming didn't come standard until 2012; he thinks that the BT audio streaming is a by product of using the BT phone feature. I guess I should tell them that I hacked the system because I'll have to pay for the update anyway.

I have a 2010 e350. This seems to have become the blue tooth audio thread so wanted to add my experience. I accessed the hidden menu and activated the audio blue tooth that was clunky but worked ok with my galaxy note iii although the display did not show the artist and I couldn't change tracks from the command center wheel. I then changed to a Sony phone and while it connected, I had to reauthorize it each time I started the car. I went to the dealer for an oil change and showed them the issue mentioning the firmware upgrade I read about here - and they performed it for free (be nice to them otherwise the fee is nominal $138). I do have a CPO in warranty. Now not only does it auto connect I can also see the track that is playing as well change tracks with the command wheel. I am a happy camper.

Alright guys I'll do my best at this... (BT=Bluetooth)
-End Call + # + 1: opens Engineering Mode
- HU Settings
- HU Parameter
(the following are the settings I put them in)
(1) BT contact plate: Not Installed
(2) LCT: Installed
(3) BT audio: On
(4) Audio Aux: Off (greyed out: not an option)
(5) Video Aux: Off
(6) Navi: installed
(7) BT: on
-back buttonx2
-pull command wheel down
- system reset
- reset - yes
- go to audio, then go to the audio tab again to bring up the drop down menu of audio options, select BT audio and activating audio device comes up, then the audio streaming screen
I have included screen shots of all the important steps (sorry for the poor quality but it was night time and the flash on my phone kept going off) Let me know if I need to clairfy ne thing.

It is in the instrument's menu.
Scroll to the Sett. menu with your left side arrows and then to Cluster menu and there is a selection for the "Permanent display" where you can select either speed or the temperature. I assume you now see speed..?

08 E350 Nav CD
I recently purchased my MB and wasn't told the NAV worked sometimes. I traveled a complete 225 mile trip without any problems. Then sometimes it will come on when I start the car and sometimes not. I've gotten a couple of errors: 1. Check cd in NAV system
2. Insert cd into NAV system, etc.
So, would you say I need a newer cd or NAV system...any /all suggestions are welcome!
Thanks from a first timer!!!

I had an Audi in the past and it had a system that read the disk for the operation.
If your navi sometimes works and then sometimes gives those errors it could just be dirt issue in the disk player. Just like with any CD or DVD player you can get dust on the reader lens or the disk itself is dirty.
Check / clean the disk and if this does not help try cleaning the player. I don't know where the player is located but I used to clean my old CD players with a slot with a compresses air cleaner can. These are sold in computer stores and the can comes with a narrow tube that you can insert inside the player thru the slot. Spray air around inside the player and hopefully the problem is dust on the reader lens that the air will blow off.

I have a 2010 E-350, BT Phone pairing works without any issue, but BT Audio doesn't connect with my iPhone 5S. I keep getting "Connection Unsuccessful" message. However, I can connect to a Samsung Galaxy S5.
I asked the MB dealer to upgrade car's firware and he said it is up to date.
Any help ?

I want to thank you for posting this great procedure and everyone who provided their great input on this subject! I gave it a try today with my iphone 5, now if I'm only traveling a short distance and don't need to keep my phone charged I can BT it and listen to my music uninterrupted. Thank you all so much!

2010 MB E63 AMG
Hacks for 10 E63
Does anyone here have a 10 E63 that has tried the many hacks listed in this thread that actually worked? I want the Mercedes logo to be replaced by the AMG logo. That's basically the only hack I'm looking for at this time. And to bypass the motion sensor so that movies can be watched without purchasing the kits that are for sale that would achieve this. If anyone has keen intel on this that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

My guess is you'd only be able make any changes to the image if you pulled the hard drive (and even that might be a longshot). I remember reading an old thread somewhere that thought you could edit a file on the hard drive to enable features while moving, but I don't know how to get to the drive to play around with it.

I can stream music from iPhone 6 via bluetooth to my E350 (2009). There is known problem with iPhone reconnect after the car is shut down. I've read, that there is needed Command Software upgrade? One more thing is missing song titles. Can someone confirm, that Command SW upgrade solve these issues?

I'M stuck on the BT Streaming mode
Hey man
I managed to enter the engineering mode with you instructions but could'nt do much to change my situation. My car I as e250 2010 w212 and comes with the unit show in the picture. I can pair my Phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 4) via BT, and use it for calls. But I can't play music from my Phone.
Apreciate your help in advance.

Hi,
first time post, so apologies if this is incorrect in anyway. I am trying to activate BT streaming to my E class W212 (I think, at least). Following the instrcutions above and elsewhere on other threads, I get a totally different 'Engineering Mode' menu - see pic. I have had a good look around and cant find anything that may have the same effect. Any tips on how to get the same result from this menu would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
