Hi guys i just got my new E550 coupe yesterday. I love the car its very very fast and sounds like a muscle car. My question is what does the M mode button do?

It puts the transmission into Manual mode. C=Comfort, S=Sport, M=Manual.

Matching the RPM's to the MPH of the car. When you downshift your revs should be higher. For example, you're going 40MPH in 3rd and your RPMs are 3000. If you downshift to 2nd at 40MPH your revs might be 3800 to match your speed.
The primary reason that it is done is to keep the car stable and not upset the balance. At high speed, if you go into a lower gear without rev matching the car loses traction in the rear.
It's the reason people learn "heel/toe" shifting in a manual car. H/T lets you brake and work the accelerator with your right foot while clutching with the left.
