Yes! The velcro or other stuff won't last. The glue will break down and it also looks like a jerry rigged setup.

Buy Tint Protector Moleskin Felt. It will last for the life of the car.

Felt may actually hold the coins better than moleskin? Regardless, "felt" is basically what M-B lined the trunk and console box with.
Anyone who does this probably needs to remember that there is a light in there.
I did not line mine with anything and have yet to hear any rattles and it has lots of coins in it.

Moleskin from Tint Protector IS felt. It's just high end automotive grade felt that looks like factory OEM.
