2008 S65 Flint Grey/Black. Wife's car: 1/5/10 2010 E550 Palladium Silver/Natural Beige Leather P2 +
Just came home...
with a new E550 I bought for my wife. The car has the following:
Palladium Silver
Natural Beige Leather
Black Ash Wood
Rear Deck & Roof Spoiler
Parktronic with Parking Guidance
Split Folding Rear Seats
Pano
Dynamic Seats w/Massage Driver side
P2
Sport Package (5 spoke Wheels)
Driver Assistance Package
We ordered the car last year (September on her Birthday) and finally got it today. My wife drove it home from the dealer while I played with the Command. It's much better than my 2008 S65. Like the iPod interface and the Navigation with Highway and more info. Amazing what 2 years does regarding technology with MB. I'm jealous already with the new gadgets etc.
Will put up some PICs tomorrow as it is late tonight.

Nice, yeah Tech just keeps improving at such a rapid rate.
Post pics of both cars if you could when you get a chance! Preferably with them together.

Tried to load PICs but it is telling me I am missing a security token ring of some sort. If anyone can help that would be great.

That's by far my favorite interior color combo with the 212's, I feel it throws in a nice warm rich feel.
That S65 is practically my dream car, very very nice.

The S65 is still MY car and don't get me wrong I love it. Just noting that the new E class has some nice newer gadgets. My wife drove it about 30 miles today running errands and the typical kids pick up from school. She loves it so far. This weekend I have to do some COMMAND training with her. She loves the adaptive seat even though she has it on her side in the S class but driving with it is different according to her. She never likes to drive my car since everyone in my house thinks I love my cars then I do people. So what if I do.

For the record, I don't think O/P was comparing the two *cars* in any way, I think he was saying specifically the "Command" and some other gadgets were "better than the S65"'s.

2008 - S550 4Matic, 2010 - E350 4Matic, 2010 - C350 4Matic
I have the benefit of being able to drive the C, E and S-Class and each car has it's attraction, but you can't beat the S-Class for comfort and fun to drive. My wife feels the S-Class is to big for her city driving and prefers the E-Class.
What I like on the S-Class is, everything works and that from Day 1 Yesterday I stopped in the MB dealership and asked the Parts Department for a bottle of "extra strong bug spray" for all the little things that go wrong with the new C and E Class.
This is my second 204 C-Class and the Keyless-Go never worked on either car. I get the biggest kick, when I get a "Red Dash" message, NO Key Detected, while I am driving down the road.
Lately it gives up all together and it tells me to pull the plug out of the ignition and insert the key. Great Feature!!!!!!!
Now I am loosing the garage door programming in the E-Class.
Do you think the "BUG SPRAY" will work???????

I can attest that in the 2 years that I have owned the S Class absolutely nothing has gone wrong. I have only brought the car back to the dealer for the regular maintenance schedule. I hope the new E Class will demonstrate that behavior. I realize the car is under warranty but I hate to take my car in to the dealer and have some filthy mechanic touch it any more then needed.
