cquared: the dashboard surface does not appear to be leather. Leather is in the door panel (white surface on door). However, my interior is the Porcelain/Black leather option but I'm not sure which of the black surface is leather. Will check car and let you know later.
Airmatic is now an option which I didn't order, so sorry, can't tell you how that drives.

So the dashboard is just plain plastic? I'm asking this, because the 2013 E class have leather or artico dashboard. Why did you not order airmatic? I bought the E550 because it had airmatic standard.

Oh, that's a surprise! Are you really certain of the leather dash? I certainly wouldn't want that -- leather sitting there at 150 degree plus in the sun -- suspect a pretty short lifetime!

What's wrong with having leather dash? Every expensive luxury and sports cars have leather wrapped dashes and doors. The leather is probably treated with a reflective coating so that it doesn't crack under direct sunlight. They had leather dashes on 2013 MY but must've took it out on 2014 models to reduce cost. Same goes for the 4.7L TT V8.

Whoa, interesting wood grain. I'm not a fan of the "exposed" wood look as it gives it an unfinished vibe, but must admit your interior looks far richer and more "natural" than the average W212 because of it. Gives off an aura of unprocessed, authenticity. Interesting.

I like the wood. No shiny lamination that gets those faint scratches over time. Reminds me of something in an old car (my fintail has natural looking wood, similar to on furniture).

Thanks KA, I first saw this type of wood when we were looking at the Audi A6. First impression on the Audi wood was mixed, but there's something about the Mercedes wood that's different. Audi's was too busy and there was too much of a contrast in the grain. Super stoked though, it does look great against the black leather.

So weird to see this picture for me. I must have looked at my W212's over a thousand times at this exact angle, in this same basic color, memorizing and dissecting every line and formation, yet now seeing it with a randomly straightened "lower" line instead of the "bent" "swoosh" of the originals "Ponton" crease throws me for a loop.
