Nice, conservative but different. I'm new to the MB's and looking to do a few engine mods to start with. I'm thinking stage one is a ECU tune from people like Renntech. When you noted u r going to stage two does that mean down pipes, no cat, high volume intercooler, things like that or nitro? Thanks

You are correct stage one is an ecu tune, I may be a little more than stage I now that I think about it as I have a UPD cold air intake kit, resonator delete and amg mufflers.
For me stage II will be downpipes, an x pipe and new ecu tune. More than likely the piping for the exhaust will all get matched at this point.
I'm in Georgia so the only ecu tuner is Renntech at my local MB dealer. Since you are in CA by any chance did you use OE Tuning for the ecu tune? The price is great and I'm about ready to pull the trigger. Thanks

Yes I have OE tune. But take a look at AMR they just made crazy numbers on their stage I tune
Very nice touch - shouldn't the 'S' side of the emblem be just a tad bit higher.

Thanks. I played with several different vertical placements in Photoshop. Some high, some low, etc. (My wife liked it low, me high... typical)
I finaly decided to place it half-way between the lower fender joint line and the sculpted character line above the wheel. (In the shaded area) I positioned it exactly the same height at both ends above the lower fender joint line. I piddled with raking it slightly, as you suggested, but it it didn't look right compared with the character line above. Matching the angle of the character line was too much, etc.
So I took the conservative route so as not to ruffle too many MB purists who will object to the badge out of hand.
First time poster, long time reader. MBWorld has always been a plethora of knowledge for me with my previous Mercedes, I'm looking forward to participating in the community! I will add more photos of my current E550 later, a perhaps some of my previous Mercedes ('08 W211 E350 4Matic, '82 W126 300SD). Might even throw up a few of the wife's '09 E350 Sport.
