Dome removal?

I just picked up a new W212 today, and damn its a huge step forward from the W203!
But I was wondering if anybody knows how to take off the interior dome light? I'm trying to hardwire a V1 but no idea how to remove that thing..

no idea. if you have distronic just make sure you disable K band detection first. Otherwise you'll go nuts like I did.

I ran the phone cord wire in the seam between windshield and dash through to the glove box....generally works fine and out of sight although not perfect.

I ended up doing what u did (glovebox 12v) and i was able to hide all the cords in the A pillar and the seam between windshild & dash. What do you mean by not perfect? Do you still have cords in sight? Maybe i can help you out.

Cord out of sight other than for a few inches where it comes down from A pillar into glove box. Really nothing to fuss over though and I prefer it to pulling off parts.

Glad you got it to work!!
