New owner of '10 E-350 luxury sedan. Noticed that when I pull my foot off the accelerator pedal, approaching a traffic signal or just turning on to a side street, the rpm's will sometimes jump up a couple hundred and then decrease. Is that because the tranny is downshifting to a lower gear ratio and it senses the speed of the vehicle and is simply helping to slow it down. Normal or not
