need help buying a E350 2010
Hi, my uncle is planning to get a black E350 2010 base model around the bay area. I have called MBZ of Oakland ask if they sell E350 with no option or package and they say yes, its called the base model.
In the past i only purchased Honda or Toyota cars that i deal with the internet sales manager.
my question is, should i still use the same method? internet quotes? to buy the E350? or can anyone share their experience how they bought their car and how much you paid?
the invoice for the base model E350 is $45,198.
Thank you

Internet pricing can only get you so much off. You are taken more seriously when you come in. Just do the research, know how much you can get the car for, and get it for that price.

Checkout CostCo/USAA/AmEX for their versions of the ZAGG car buying service (USAA will have the best price, but is only open to servicemen/women and their extended families).
Your goal should be $0-$2000 below invoice. I got $1,700 below invoice on a 2011 E550 via USAA, for example.
Don't forget to negotiate a low dealer processing fee. Some dealers will try to stick you with a $300-$500 fee for this nonsense. $100 is fair and reasonable.
Also, remember that you live in one of the most competitive markets for Benzs in the country. There are tons of dealers in NoCAL SoCAL that will work with you on price. If the one you're approaching won't budge, move on.

Dealer will discount 11% off MSRP
$3K MB rebate
$2K fleet discount
Final price ~ $42.5K
I haven't taken the deal yet. Can I do better?

Damn, that's a crazy good deal. What is the fleet discount and rebate? Is that like a special program thing, or loyalty discount, etc.?

There is $3K of rebate money available on the E class as of August 3rd. This is to move out the 2010 cars.
The fleet discount is available to employees of large companies who sign up for the program and also open to members of a few credit unions. There is a lot of discussion about it in other threads on this site. Here is the official site MB site:
http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/fleet_program/overview
PM for for details on the dealer/sales person.

I leased an E350 back in May. I told the sales guy to let me know when there are incentives on the 2010 E because a family member (very patient) is interested in buying. He called me on the 3rd of this month and told me that there is a $3K incentive.
Usually edmunds.com has all the incentives listed, but I don't see it on the 2010 E either.

E350 LUX 4M P2 D+
I bought my MY 10 E350 P2 4M Prem Paint Leather through USAA back in March 2010. MSRP was $63.5K and I paid $58.2K for the car. To that price have to add Sales tax, prep ($135) and Lic ($195). If you can use USAA's buying service.
