confused now....3D navigation in 2011??

confused now....3D navigation in 2011??
so...there is supposed to be a navigation update in the September production 2011 model W212's and C207's (meaning 2011 models being produced in sept 2010). The navigation, according to some here in various threads, includes "3D" navigation like in the current S class models.
Now, I went to a dealer a few weeks ago and specifically checked out the 2010 S class navigation. I saw the 3D navigation...or so I thought. what I may have thought was "3D" could have in fact been a "birds eye" view, which all current E class models have now....right? what I saw on the S looks exactly like whats in this video (watch from 0:36 to 1:27):

...and as you can see in that video, its a current model year E class. So now I'm confused!
questions:
1) Maybe the dealer (we know how much they know) never showed me the S class 3D navigation...maybe he showed me Birds eye view and thought that was it.....so does anyone here have any pictures or video of current S class navigation in 3D mode???
2) Can we truly confirm that the September production vehicles will have this new 3D feature (not birds eye view....)
3) Will current W212 and C207 owners be able to update to this "new" COMMAND feature?

About 1/4 of the way into the video.......
fwiw, nothing on the Daimler Global Media site (subscription based) about the W212 E Class. The last media release was July. Nothing with that press release about anything new coming soon for the car.
