Retrofit Nav, No COMAND
Hey guys i have 2 E350's that im looking into retrofitting Navigation. Both cars have base stereos. Is this something that is worth the trouble? Is it just installing some parts or do i have to heavilly modify the stock wiring, and where is a good place to get these parts? Thanks

Can you be more specific. Are you after Navigation but do not want Comand or do you just mean you currently don't have Comand?
Where are you from? There are more options if you are not from the US (could add your location info to your profile).
Retrofitting Comand would not be too difficult, the same with Audio 50 APS if that is available for your region. W212 is also getting the Navigation 20 like retrofit navigation and audio interface that has existed for the W204 for quite some time (you can find more info from the 204 forum).

Yes if it is about the two cars mention in his profile, from 2004 and 2006. In this case the Navigation 20 option does not exist either.
W211 would have Comand APS NTG1, Audio 50 APS or Comand NTG2.5 options for OEM navigation. If the current head unit is an Audio 20 CD radio, NTG2.5 actually would be simplest to install but is not exactly plug-and-play.
