removal of rear deck & subwoofer wire colors?

Hello everyone i havea few questions. I added an amp and 2 subs to my 2 previous e-classes(06 E350) & (08 E350). I am now trying to add the setup to my new baby 2010 E-350. I see that few things have changed. There is no battery in trunk as in the past. There is no access to the rear deck sub wiring from the trunk as in the past. so my questions are:

1) How to gain access to the rear deck subwoofer from the inside of the car? So i can disconnect the rear deck sub.

2) Does anyone know what the wire colors(positive & negative) are for the rear deck subwoofer? So i can tap into for the audio signal.

3) I see in the trunk a fan with a wiring harness connected to it and when disconnected sounds like my rear deck sub is off but not sure if other speakers are off as well.

Thanks in advance for your help

I dont think many people here do their own work when customizing their MB's you may have better luck calling Car audio shops and asking them. Your best bet is to call a shop that is near a MB dealership. Many times a customer will ask the dealer to have what they want installed for them and the dealer will call the nearest shop.

Are you sure there is no battery in the trunk? I am almost sure I saw one when I checked mine out when buying. Maybe I am wrong I may be thinking about my W211. Now I have to go home and check. lol

Yea i think the E550 has the battery in the trunk but the 2010 E350's do not. Not sure if the 2011 E350 has it in the trunk.

Yea i called a shop and they are not sure either they have the information for a 2009 but not the new 2010. I am trying I will call other shops. When i get this all figured out i will post pics and provide any help.

That would be awesome Brett, I want to do the same thing when I get home from Afghan, not really into paying someone $100-300 to do something that takes half an hour and a couple beers.

Thats funny, it seems that the battery is not in the trunk in the E550 4matic. I guess its only the E550 rwd that has the battery in the trunk... I wonder why?

Sorry for the delay in this process. Other things came up. I started this past weekend with this project and my only problem is the power wire. I am going to have to run it straight to the battery. Does anybody know where the best place in the firewall to go through would be. I plan on using 4(ga.) wire. I will look this week but figured i'd ask to save some time. Thanks in advance.

So I assume you got access to the subwoofer speaker wires. Were you able to access them from the trunk or did you have to take off the rear deck?
