I don't think you can play it unless you have iPod Integration Kit Video accessories installed in your car, It costs 480$ to be added.

With the latest firmware upgrade and the right cable, yes. You need Media Interface Plus (see diagram).

It imagine it can be done for the earlier versions. The software component is likely to be free and include other patches to update COMAND and fix minor problems that you might not have noticed. It is not clear, but there seems to be a hardware element - maybe a cable or an interface - which is more likely to have an attendant cost.
