Star Diagnostics prep and some fine tuning with the stock links. I didn't watch Serge at Hyevon (Huntington Beach, CA) do it, but he's an expert with the Star and knows how to do it right (my heighten button still works).

OMG, I'm so glad I found this thread with the search function! I have a black on black and was just researching on whether to go links or Star for lowering.
How do you like the ride and is the W212 your daily driver?

Thanks, all. And sorry about these crappy pics. I think i need a better camera.
Here are the offsets:
Front: 20 X 9.0 +40 R-Disk 5-112 44mm lip (1.73")
Rear: 20 X 10.0 +42 O-Disk 5-112 79mm lip (3.11")
Work Gnosis GS5 - Burning Black finish (looks silver most of the time, but more black when rolling.)
Wish i could say exactly how much it was lowered, but they kept fine tuning the height... i lost track. I'd say approximately 1.75 inches. Great stance in person. The pics aren't quite doing it justice.
Interior is black on black.
Best,
Ryden

I love the ride. The drop didn't affect it much. The rims and low profile tires make it necessary to watch for potholes more. Hitting one at decent speed can be jarring. Yes, it's daily driver. Posted more pics in the thread called "show us your rims" or something like that.

So you used links and Star Diag to lower the car then? I will try to stop by the shop in HB to get a quote soon.
Thanks again.

Yes, watch out for potholes, I popped by front and rear leftside tires in a pothole last month and i have the OEM AMG 18" wheels. Can't have RA help you then, needed to get the car towed to the dealer.
After the last rains in Socal, I now drive like i'm on a slalom course

The car looks stunning! I am actually getting into an E63 amg this upcoming week and want to black out the window trim, grill and door handles asap. What vendor did you use to get these parts? Or did you have the pieces painted at a body shop?
Thanks man.

All of my chrome is still intact. If i were to black everything out, i'd probably go with paint at a body shop. Some people are using vinyl and are getting a more flat/matte look. can't wait to see your car when its done.

that's it, i'm placing my order for a black e350 sport...this shot sealed the deal for me:

what % is your tint (very classy) and personally, once I get mine I will remove the chrome strip on the doors ala e63

Haha. The tint is 35%. Since the percentages vary by brand, I'll try to find my paperwork to get the company name. Its lifetime guarantee and so far so good. I really want to see a blacked out w212 with balanced rims and stance. Hopefully someone does everything soon (tails, trim, grill, side guard, etc.). A friend is trying on a coupe. still needs a lot of tweaking. would love to see yours without the strip.
