Hi New owner E350 - Need help with Keys
I my first Mercedes E350 2009 14k miles sport package. I have a few question please.
He has only 1 key - do i go to the dealer to buy it ? or is there a cheaper option for me ?
Is there a mercedes parts shop with discount i can buy looking to buy
1. extra key
2. floor mats
3. possible other equipment i may need.
Again my forst Mercedes will get this saturday 2009 E350 14k miles very excited.
Thanks

You must buy the key from the dealer and prove ownership. And ask the dealer for a discount. If you join the Mercedes Club, most dealers provide discounts.

Where is the second key? Are you buying this car directly from someone? I would be wary about buying a car with only one key knowing that the car came with two. There is nothing I fear more than heading to my car in the parking lot and not finding it there.
Just like buying a house, even though they give you all the keys it’s still smart to change every lock in the house. With a car it’s not quite that easy but I still would want all the keys that came with the car. Is there a way to reprogram they car so that it only works with a new set of keys?
