New LED's
What's the deal with these lower running lights? I can not get a straight answer and some sales people didn't even know they were on vehicle. Right now I can't warm up to them. Are they the new P2 lights?

That LED update has been available in Asia on all the new E since about a month ago. I believe the sport package still use hockey stick DRL, at least in E coupe they still do.

well. IMHO I think this bar light is over kill. Looks too big. Personally I like the light on the AMG package. So is this the new p2 light, and the base luxury would be the quads, and the sport the hockey stick???

, the hockey lights are definitely one of the coolest out there.......audi has that nice wrap around on some of theirs too, but MB is awesome, I hate to even mention audi here, but whatever......
also saw a picture around here with LED eyebrows.......that isn't stock is it? I think this look would be cool too.....

Pretty much all MB cars and SUVs will have this kind straight line-shaped LEDs on for sure, much prefer this than the older designs LEDs...The New C, GL,S, CL, CLS etc.. all have this already for MY 2011+...Get used to it for the new design quick if you are looking at New MB! 
For the GL, Its under the lighting package, it separates from the P2 package. My guess for the E class will stay the same for MY2010+ unless MB wants to switch thing a little bit in 2011. Again, I doubt it. The DRL LEDs will part of the P2 package!

The European site (www.mercedes-benz.com, click english and go to the UK site) show 4 sets of lights, the round, the straight and hockey stick, plus the AMG which is stright but a little higher up.

LED DRL's
My US spec '11 E Sport Package sedan has the hockey stick DRL's as well. I think the straight bar ones are for the '11 Luxury package.

I just purchased a 2011 E350 Coupe last night! I traded in my 2009 C300 4 Matic. The E350 came with 104-Rear Deck Spoiler; P01; 318 Wood Trim Package; 321 Appearance Package in a 799-Diamond White with 205-Almond/Mocha leather; 731 Burl Walnut trim... I am going to change out the interior lights to LED and probably the tag and front marker lights to LED. I am sad that this one does not have LED daytime running lights or mbrace...
